Hello together,
we want to upgrade to JavaFx. As preparatory work we are analysing the expenditure to do this. In this process we came to following Question:
Is there an easy way/tool to check the pages, if there are any used components, which existed in swing-client, but not in fx-client?
kind regards,
Mario

Hi,
in principal in the meantime nearly all optical components are available in JavaFX. The problem is the "nearly all" ;-)
Currently not supported are
ACTIVEX
JRVIEWER
SYSTEMTRAY
A program to check over a project's JSP pages is definitely useful, we took this issue over into our lists. (And it's good to have this post here, for publically checking if the list gets processed...).
@ACTIVEX: we hope, that no one will desire this. It is currently only used in one usage scenario and always was a source of pain for all participants...
@JRVIEWER: also rarely used in Swing, we encourage to directly use PDF and not the XML output format that is required by JRViewer
@SYSTEMTRAY: this will be added
There is one issue: in Swing you can pass any HTML text into buttons/labels/... In FX you have to define normal texts. So if you use the text formatting in controls a lot, you will not see the corresponding result in FX.
