Hi,

is there a way to produce a header like shown in the attached pic?

...yes!

You need to use the possibility to create complex columns, i.e. you do not have straight "field"-columns, but "pane-row-field|colline|field".
Please check the demos: Grid => double line grid (quite similar, but here the cell controls are below one another, not aside as in your screenshot), or Grid => Grid in Grid => Flexible Tree (here it is even more complex than in your screenshot: the structure of each complex column is dependent from the row's content...)

great, but I try to get it realized with the standard header. There were too many restrictions (no resizing, sorting)
