Hi!

For creating a custom component I use the painted area.
I would like the request a feature for having percentage based dimensions for ‘PAINTAREAITEM’s within a ‘paintarea’.

Is this possible?

No, not possible.

The PAINTAREA is explicitly dedicated to do "absolute rendering". In case of percentage definitions all percentage content would need to be resized/repositioned if there was some change to the area's size.

True, that is exactly what I need!

If the component is resized, the painted elements should moved, too.

Is there a changes to publish size information / resizing to server? Or maybe some other ideas how to implement on server / client site?

...as I said, not possible with the PAINTAREA. Would be some complete enhancement. This is possible of course, but would mean some project-like approach, also with thinking about efforts...
