Hi,

in one of our Projects we are using a Tabbedpane.
The Content of the Tabbedpanetabs get validated. If a field is not successfully validated in a not focused tab, i want to show the user in which tab he should look. By highlighting the corresponding tabbedpanetab header. Example in attachement. So a bgpaintaddon like it is used in a tabbedlinecontainertab would be nice.

The reason we dont use tabbedlincontainer is the stacking ability, and no need for the extra dropdown.

Hi,

this is quite (better: verrrry) difficult: in the TABBEDLINE we are the master of rendering (actually the TABBEDLINE is a container around buttons). Whereas the TABBEDPANE is a Swing component consisting out of inner parts which do not know anything about BGPAINT...

Maybe some image in front of the text could indicate the problem, too? THis is possible...

Hey,

some way to visually let the user know that something in this tap needs attention is fine.

Although changing the border and background would be quite nice. Since you can change tabstyle via styles, i thought there may be a chance to set some style for specific tabs.

Hi,
the IMAGE is already available, so this should work... Could you give a try?
