Hi!

Is there a standard search function for plain texts (no grids)?
Marking all strings with the matching search pattern. Like usinge Firefox... (Strg + F)

Hi,

sorry - the repsonse is short and simple....: no.
(no == not yet)

The browser comes from rendering texts and then learned how to deal with controls, for us its vice versa ;-).

But: we think about it, what the best way would be to add such a function. In principal, we have all we need: we know the UI components, we know "where they are" on the screen, so we can search.
This function is not a short-term-shot of course...

Please give us some time to think through...

Regards, Björn

we have the same issue.

the user is used to search in the whole text by the browser function ctrl+f.
now, switching to captaincasa, the user can't do this anymore, which seems to annoy him a lot.

so are there any news on this topic?

Greetings,
Michael

is this really a full text search in workpage?

the changelog says:
"It is now very simple to create a page that searches to all available workplace functions that are assigned to the current user."

but we want to search in alle textpanes, labels... etc. on workpage and not only in workplace functions.

Hi,
this is a search through all function tree texts - it is included in the demo workplace... If a user gets assigned "100" functions, then it is sometimes not simple to find a function in the hierarchy of functions, so this is the direct access via text.

ok, in this case that is not what we and i guess even not that what daniel is looking for.

We are looking for a full text search in as described above.
is this issue on the roadmap?

Greetings,
Michael
