Hi,

it would be nice to have a datepicker component in the ht area, or is there another approach?

Hi,

yes... - but: this requires "sponsoring" ;-) The HTML renderer is designed to be "as thin as possible".
The way to currently go, is to let the user input a string which is parsed on server side into a valid date.

...forgot to mention: of course (we are JSF!) you can create own components or embed other compnoent libraries!
